I am Melanie Bryant, Head of Research Professional Development Programs at CSU. In this 0.5 FTE role, I oversee and coordinate the Research Professional Development (PD) Programs of CSU, in order to meet the PD requirements of CSU researchers, including Higher Degree Research students, no matter where they are located in the world.
I am also, for 0.5 FTE, a Senior Lecturer in Management and Associate Head of the School of Marketing and Management. I am an active researcher and research supervisor within the areas of organisational behaviour and organisational change with a specific interest in enablers and barriers to change in contexts such as health and environment. I am actively involved in research activities with colleagues across various disciplines at CSU, through the Centre for Inland Health, as well as the Research, Innovation and Change sub-committee of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District. I also hold the position of adjunct Senior Research Fellow in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University.
My research engages with various sociological principles using a number of different qualitative research techniques. I have been actively involved in qualitative research training both at CSU and Monash University ranging from formal teaching programs at Honours, Professional Doctorate and PhD levels, and through face-to-face and online workshops through the Faculty of Business and Research Office at CSU.
