Employing Professional Transcribers
CSU Documentation on the use of Contract Transcribers for Confidential Interviews
- Complete the details in the Schedule of the CSU Confidentiality Agreement before printing off three copies and sending them to the other party for their signature. Please do not send a Word version of the Agreement to the other party. If the Agreement needs to be sent electronically, this should only be done by secured PDF.
- Please note that clause 9(a) of the Confidentiality Agreement reads as follows:
"The parties expressly agree that any agreement for cooperation in relation to the Approved Purpose will be documented in a separate and formal agreement executed by the parties in accordance with the policies and procedures of the respective parties."
- Therefore engaging the transcription service will of course need to be the subject of a separate agreement, as the Confidentiality Agreement only covers the use of information disclosed in the performance of the service.
- The University's Delegations for the Signing of Documents will tell you who the authorised signatory for CSU is, depending on the type of arrangement your agreement is covering.
- If you find that the appropriate signatory is the Vice-Chancellor, please contact Jane Talbot in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor regarding this.
- If you need further assistance with this matter, please send an email to legal@csu.edu.au along with a Request for Legal Advice Form (Contracts and Agreement) .
