What is the Intellectual Property & Outside Professional Activites Committee?
Led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and comprising experienced administrators and academics and a postgraduate research student, the Intellectual Property and Outside Professional Activities Committee is the primary body responsible for:
- overseeing the implementation of the Intellectual Property and Outside Profesional Activities Policies within the University;
- periodically reviewing the policies and recommending changes;
- providing advice and making recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor on matter relating to royalties, copyright, patents, intellectual property, outside professional activities and commercialisation.
The Intellectual Property and Outside Professional Activities Committee is a committee established under the provisions of the Intellectual Property policy of the University. The policy, composition and terms of reference of the Committee are included in the University's Administration Manual.
