This site aims to provide a comprehensive resource on rural telecommunications issues as 'an incubator for ideas and progress in bringing people in isolated, rural communities, services and information which will enrich their lives'. Provides links to quite a few rural telecommunications projects related to education, community development, business, health and so on: all located in North America.

This page on 'telecommuting, teleworking and alternative officing' brings together a wide variety of information from around the world, and from many different perspectives, on the subjects of telecommuting, teleworking and flexible work (including a useful FAQ). The objective is to provide a regularly updated 'one-stop service' for practitioners, researchers, policy-makers and others. It contains much information of relevance to those in rural areas, from North America, Europe and the Pacific Rim.

This UK-based organisation has supported much work on rural telecommunications issues. Also maintains a
discussion list on rural development and information issues.
