National Rural Health Alliance
The National Rural Health Alliance is the peak national body working to improve the health of Australians living in rural and remote areas. The NRHA is comprised of twenty-one Member Bodies, each of which is a national organisation in its own right. The twenty-one represent both the consumers of health services and the health professionals providing service to non-metropolitan areas. This site contains useful links to other Rural Health sites.

School of Rural Health
Located at Monash University, Victoria, Australia. Features resources and information on rural health research and development projects.

Australian Journal of Rural Health
The Australian Journal of Rural Health (AJRH) is a multidisciplinary refereed journal, and it is one of the earliest initiatives of the rural health movement. Since its inception in 1993, it has contributed significantly to the publication of research and activities in rural and remote health.

Royal Australian College of General Practitioners [RACGP] - rural faculty
Main aims of the Faculty are to represent rural practice within the College and to encourage the development and funding of Rural Training Units throughout Australia. Site has links to state faculties and information about the RACGP.

AgrAbility in Australia
An Innovative program for injured and disabled farmers, funded by the Rural Health Support and Training (RHSET) Program and carried out by the Australian Agricultural Health Unit, in conjunction with the University of Sydney Rehabilitation Research Centre and the North Coast Public Health Unit. The site features information on the project and contact persons for more information.

Recruitment of Rural Doctors Pathfinder
The recruitment of doctors and other health professionals to rural and remote areas is a worldwide problem. This site provided by the Canadian Rural Information Service presents a bibliography or relevant articles based on Canadian experience (some with links to the articles themselves), links to rural health associations; rural locum and placement services; Government programs and services, electronic discussion lists related to rural health, and links to some other rural medicine web sites.

North Carolina Rural Health Research Program
Based at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina, this program is working to identify problems in the rural health arena through policy-relevant analyses, the geographic and graphical presentation of data, and the dissemination of information to organisations and individuals in the health care field who can use this information for policy or administrative purposes.

Rural Information Center Health Service
Located at the US National Agricultural Library (NAL), RICHS collects and disseminates information on rural health issues, research findings relating to rural health, and innovative approaches to delivery of rural health care services.
