HDR Governance & Regulations
Regulations
Your HDR candidature is governed by University regulations formally approved by the University's Academic Senate. The regulations are documented in the University's Academic Manual, with most of those relevant to HDR candidates situated in sections H, K and N of the manual. Among other things, these regulations cover issues such as progress, supervision, thesis presentation requirements and thesis examination. You should familiarise yourself with these regulations and consult them frequently throughout your candidature.
Governing Committees
In association with the Academic Senate, a number of important governing committees are specifically involved in governing research and HDR programs at CSU. One critical function of these committees is to ensure that University research and academic programs and conduct comply with relevant Australian legislative and regulatory requirements. These requirements are necessarily stringent.
You should familiarise yourself with these committees and their respective roles and requirements with respect to your HDR candidature and research. The requirements are laid out in the University's Academic Manual, in research policies and procedures, research ethics and safety, also located on the respective committee websites as well as governance and plans.
