RHDS Completion Awards
Background
The University would like to acknowledge the members of each supervisory team for their contribution to the successful graduation of their Research Higher Degree Students when the student submits their thesis for examination.
All CSU staff members of the Supervisory team at the time of submission will be eligible to share in the Award. External members of the supervisory team are not eligible given that this is an Award and not a payment that would be taxable. The Award will be shared by the team on a percentage basis notified in writing by the team and the Award must be paid into internal CSU accounts.
Payment of the Award
The Award will be paid AFTER the student is approved for Graduation by the Board of Graduate Studies.
Awards
$ 3,000 if the RHD student submits their thesis WITHIN three years full-time (6 sessions FT) or six years part-time (12 sessions PT) or a combination of enrolment that equates to three years full-time. Periods of Leave of Absence are excluded.
$ 1,500 if the RHD student submits their thesis AFTER three years full-time (7 sessions FT or greater) or six years part-time (13 sessions PT or greater) or a combination of enrolment that equates to three years and a quarter years full-time or greater. Periods of Leave of Absence are excluded.
