Summer Scholarships

Aim
Graham Centre Summer Scholarships are designed to encourage undergraduate students to engage in research activity. It also enables students to become familiar with the types of projects and potential supervisors available through the Graham Centre.
Value
$4,000 tax-free stipend (paid at the rate of $400 per week for 10 weeks).
Eligibility
Students enrolled in a degree course at CSU who are nearing completion of their degree and have achieved a high academic standard are eligible to apply. The anticipated standard is a Grade Point Average over the previous two years of approximately 5.00 points or a standard sufficient to allow entry into the University’s Honours Program. Students who have already commenced an Honours degree are ineligible to apply.
Selection Criteria
- A strong interest in and commitment to research related to the Centre’s Priority Areas.
- A demonstrated interest in undertaking an Honours project supervised by a Graham Centre member.
- Current enrolment in a degree course at CSU (preferably towards the end of the degree).
- Proven ability to achieve a high academic standard.
How the scheme works
Students spend a period of ten weeks working on a single project supervised by a Graham Centre member. The structure can be negotiated with the project supervisor. Supervisors are required to provide a report to the Centre Director at the end of the scholarship.
