To Research Centre Fellowships aimed to stimulate increased research capacity by enhancing the Centre's research outputs.

Graham Centre Full members and Associate members, who are academic staff of Charles Sturt University (either full or part-time) OR employed by the NSW Department of Primary Industries in a research capacity (either full or part-time), may apply for Research Centre Fellowship (RCF) funding. The scheme is not open to Visiting or Adjunct appointments or Higher Degree by Research students.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a clear strategy for development and improvement of their research capacity.
Please Note: If you are applying for an RCF for 2018 and you have a current RCF (2017) you will need to provide an interim report with your 2018 RCF application.

|2.||Promote the development of functional research teams|
|3.||Demonstrate clear objectives and achievable outputs and outcomes|
|4.||Show clearly identified strategies to increase research capacity|
|5.||Include a detailed budget which is justified and represents value for money|
There is no upper or lower limit as to the value of RCF support that can be provided to an individual researcher. However, all expenditure must be completed during the 2017 calendar year. No extensions of time or carry-over of funding into 2018 will be permitted.
A fully-costed budget must be provided as a separate attachment to all applications.

RCF funds can be used for, but are not restricted to, the following types of expenditure:

|4.||casual teaching buy-out|
|5.||salaries of research support staff (including research assistants; accounting and administrative staff; and technicians|
NB: All expenditure items must be clearly detailed in the application budget and applicants must demonstrate how the expenditure will enhance research capacity.
RCF funds must not be used for:
|2.||equipment purchase or maintenance *|
|6.||costs directly associated with external projects underway|
|7.||leveraging of external project applications|
|8.||stipends for postgraduate research students|
* these will be considered under exceptional circumstances.
