E H Graham Centre to host a Women's Information Exchange Day
As part of our recognition of the contribution women make to farming enterprises, the Graham Centre will host a free Women's Information Exchange Day on 9 May 2006. The Day will provide an opportunity to learn more about the activities of the Graham Centre, develop an 'annual planner' for farming women, network, and shape the direction of future workshops.
The Graham Centre is an alliance between Charles Sturt University and the NSW Department of Primary Industries that aims to develop technologies to drive profitable and sustainable mixed farming systems. Deirdre Lemerle was appointed as Director of the Centre and Professor of Agricultural Innovation in April 2005.
The workshops and discussions will be facilitated by Mr Lloyd Kingham who has experience as a rural support worker. The day will include:
- An introduction to the Graham Centre.
- A workshop to develop a 'monthly planner' for farm women in the southern region.
- Determination of what women would like from future annual meetings/forums/ gatherings.
The event will be held at the Charles Sturt University Convention Centre, Wagga Wagga, and will run from 10.00 am to 4:00 pm.
