The impact of perennial pastures in sheep production systems
The role of perennials in producing better livestock and healthier catchments is the theme of the EverGraze Field Day being held near Borambola on 19 October.
Topics covered will provide producers and advisors with the economics and sheep production figures for a range of grazing systems established on the 60 hectare site. The impact of shelter belts and summer active perennials for lifting weaning percentages and the effect of vegetation on water flow and pasture response will also be covered.
