Funding is available to assist Graham Centre participants (including students) to attend national and international conferences during 2007 and to develop and/or particate in significant national and international research projects which are closely linked with the programs and research themes of the Centre.
The aim of the Graham Centre's travel grants scheme is to develop national and international links and to elevate the profile of the Centre. Applications are required to meet strict criteria which includes (but is not limited to) the following:
- Proposed travel must be aligned to Graham Centre objectives;
- Applicants must demonstrate clearly defined objectives and expected outcomes;
- Successful applicants are required to submit a detailed report to the Centre Director within 1 month following travel;
- Matching funds provided from another funding source will strengthen application;
- Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format and must include additional supporting documentation (Download Application Form here).
The Centre's Local Management Committee oversees the allocation of travel grants to ensure that resources are spread equitably across Programs and Research Themes throughout the year. The scheme has been revised so that two rounds of funding are advertised annually.
Applications for the first round of funding for 2007 will close on 15 February 2007.
