More funding for travel grants
In April 2008, the Graham Centre provided more than $22,000 to assist research-active Centre members with the cost of travel associated with attending conferences and developing collaborative research projects at both national and international levels.
Centre Director, Deirdre Lemerle, is pleased to announce a second round of funding for 2008 Travel Grants. The aim of the Centre's Travel Grants scheme is to develop national and international links and to elevate the profile of the Centre. Centre participants are encouraged to apply for assistance where there is a significant link between the research priorities of the Centre and the proposed conference or activiy.
Applications are required to meet strict criteria which includes:
- Proposed travel must be aligned to the Centre's Strategic Research Initiatives;
- Applicants must demonstrate clearly defined objectives and expected outcomes;
- Successful applicants are required to submit a detailed report to the Centre Director within one month after travelling;
- Matching funds provided from other funding sources will strengthen applications;
- Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format and must include additional supporting documentation
