Rural Australia without petroleum
Together with the Institute for Land, Water and Society, the Graham Centre will convene a workshop on the research implications of diminishing international supplies of petroleum and the possibilities for biofuels industries in rural Australia.
Speakers will include Professor Julian Hine, Professor of Transport at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, Professor Peter Sinclair, environmental sociologist and oil industry analyst at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, and a biofuel researcher from CSIRO.
Discussion leaders will include Charles Sturt University Professors Margaret Alston and Deirdre Lemerle.
