Graham Centre Students address GRDC Adviser Update
Graham Centre PhD students outlined their research projects at the recent GRDC Adviser Update held at Charles Sturt University's Wagga Campus on 10-11 February.
Professor Deirdre Lemerle described the importance of postgraduate training and of generating new knowledge by PhD students' core activities.
The students' topics were:
- Matt Gardner - How does chicory affect the nitrogen cycling of pasture systems?;
- Felicity Gummer - Early growth and development in cereals - are they linked?; and
- Nicole Hyde - Perennial wheat in southern Australia - preliminary results with big plans for the future!
The grower advisers responded very positively to the students' presentations and are keen to hear more from Graham Centre students at the 2010 GRDC Adviser Updates.
