Career Brief
Bree graduated with BAppSc (Hons) from RMIT before completing her PhD studies at Charles Sturt University (CSU). Her PhD studies investigated the effect of dryland salinity on the genetic and functional diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. While undertaking her PhD, Bree assisted with the delivery of the Plant Pathology subject offered through the School of Agricultural and Wine Sciences. She is currently working at CSU on a Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) funded project titled “Biopesticides for the Australian Grain Industry”.
Research and Teaching
Bree is part of a research team that aims to develop a fungal-based biological control agent that will be used to control sucking insects like aphids in grain and pasture crops.
Bree assists with the subject PSC371 Plant Pathology offered through the School of Agricultural and Wine Sciences
