How to Apply for Admission to a Research Higher Degree
Applications for admission need to be completed and forwarded together with all necessary documentation (e.g. transcripts of previous study, 200/300 research outline) to the Admissions Office – domestic applicants or the International Office – overseas applicants.
There is no nominated closing date, applications may be lodged at any time for the PhD, Master by research programs and research professional doctorates.
The application for admission and the additional information sheet for both domestic and international applicants can be downloaded at the CSU Forms website.
When received, applications are entered onto the University system and forwarded to the Centre for Research and Graduate Training for assessment.
Each Faculty has a nominated Sub Dean for Graduate Studies and your application is forwarded to the Sub Dean of your chosen Faculty to determine your eligibility and a supervisory team. If your application is deemed eligible and there is adequate supervision for the area of research, the nominated Principal Supervisor is then required to complete a (Faculty Admission form) and submit this to the Centre for Research and Graduate Training for approval through the Board of Graduate Studies.
When the Board has endorsed your approval for admission the Centre then arranges to have an offer for admission processed through the Admissions Office and you will receive your enrolment package.
