INTERESTS
Dr Penny Davidson’s research interests cross two key areas - the use of monitoring and social marketing as management and behaviour change strategies to enhance sustainability, and the connection of people to place. Her behavioural change projects include two student energy reduction projects and north east Victorian residents food waste behaviours (NevRwaste project). This research links social marketing with issues of sustainability, and individual learning through experiential learning frameworks, and feedback mechanisms. Her work exploring place includes the emotional dimensions of experience and management at Mt Buffalo, Victoria; Cave Interpretation principles, the relationship to place of Jenolan Caves visitors and staff; and a current project examining wellbeing and links to urban biodiversity.
