Drawing on advice from the Institute's Advisory Board, ILWS members have identified three longterm integrated research themes that will be the focus of the multidisciplinary and inter-disciplinary research in ILWS.
Each of these themes addresses critical issues facing the regions where CSU operates; has the potential to make a major contribution to knowledge, policy and community well-being; draws on ILWS research expertise; and enhances the quality of teaching at CSU. The themes are:
Integrated research is a fundamental aspect of the mission of the Institute for Land, Water and Society. Integration is recognised by CSU and the ILWS Advisory Board as a holistic and systematic approach to problem solving. Read more about integration at ILWS.
Other integrated research themes will be developed as issues are identified through further contact with stakeholders and partners. The emphas of our integrated projects is relevence to stakeholders and the delivery of outcomes that support our communities and their livelihoods and well-being.
