About the ISPG

It was established as a teaching and research group in the School of Information Studies at Charles Sturt University, after many years of collaborative work on communications technology and distance education. Geoff Fellows set up the FIRST WEB SERVER at Charles Sturt University in April 1994. Our seven main R&D projects or consultancies to reach some positive outcomes include Web sites and services behind the logos shown below.

ISPG is an Internet research and training consultancy which provides support to the business, education, government and rural communities. Its primary aim is to facilitate a range of services that have a positive regional impact on the development of information systems, delivery of quality open learning and industry training for Asia Pacific countries. It develops software, information services, training courses and publishes on the Internet and works closely with the Farrer Centre; Knowledge Management Group; the Centre for Information Studies and the Centre for Teacher Librarianship at Charles Sturt University, the Open University of Hong Kong - Communications Technology programme at http://plbsun01.ouhk.edu.hk/comtech/index.shtml. and the Association of Societies for Growing Australian Plants (ASGAP). ISPG expertise covers a range of IT services such as systems engineering, project management, object modelling, programming languages support, telecommunications policy, human computer interaction, groupware, electronic publishing, intranet development, multimedia, graphic design, computer conferencing (broadband and narrowband), online education, information and knowledge management.

Our members offer many years of industry experience with information systems engineering, object modelling, project management, telecommunications policy and planning, electronic publishing, human computer interaction, groupware, graphic design, multimedia and various programming languages such as Java, C++, PERL, Python, Pascal, VB, lambdaMOO, SGML, XML, HTML, DTML, Javascript, ASP, PHP etc.
