Research Interests
- Identification and cloning of genes potentially involved in Plant-Pathogen Interactions or other stress conditions.
- Expression and functional analyses of target genes.
- Complementation studies using posttranscriptional gene silencing, co-suppression and antisense inhibition.
- Construction and physical characterization of BAC and other genomic, EST or cDNA libraries. Strategies to be used are transposon tagging, map-based cloning, transcript profiling, in silico gene mining, microarrays, quantitative expression profiling, and other novel approaches.
