Global Alliance Title: To continue development of the Global Alliance formed with our co-researchers from the University of Gothenburg (Sweden), Tromso University (Norway), Stockholm University (Sweden), Abo Akademi University (Finland), Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands) and the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom).
This application was successful in receiving $10,000 funding from the Centre of Research and Graduate Training Global Alliance Development Scheme.

- The aim of this global alliance is to develop an international collaboration to foster an intellectual community and interdisciplinary network for the scholarship of professional education.

Global Alliance Institution: The Practice-based Professional Learning Centre (PBPL), at the Open University, UK.
Goals of this Alliance:
- To advance knowledge of the phenomenon of practice-based education.
- To develop the scholarship of education for practice in and through the workplace.
Global Alliance Title: Pedagogies of Educational Transition (POET)
This application was successful in receiving $10,000 funding from the Centre of Research and Graduate Training Global Alliance Development Scheme.

Goals of this Alliance:
- To explore theoretical and conceptual notions of educational transitions;
- To examine the impact of these on pedagogies of transition, as well as the policy and practice underpinning educational transitions;
- To build on existing collaboration among and between the institutions and researchers;
- To enhance the positioning of the researchers as international leaders in this field.
