Teacher Education and Professional Learning
The Teacher Education and Professional Learning group is engaged in research and scholarship in professional practice and learning with regard to teaching and teacher education, with a particular emphasis on social justice and rural-regional sustainability and a strategic focus on issues and debates in curriculum and pedagogy, policy and practice. Locating teacher education within professional education more generally, this area of concentration is interested in critical and comparative studies of professional practice fields, in and across the preparatory, transitional and continuing phases of teacher professional education.
