Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents, who are enrolling/enrolled as a part-time student, are encouraged to apply for an AGRTP-PT scholarship. These scholarships are provided to assist with general study costs and are available to applicants intending to commence in 2018 or who are currently enrolled part-time in a Higher Degree by Research program. AGRTP-PT scholarships are for candidates enrolled on a part-time basis to study towards higher degrees by research. These scholarships are highly competitive, and only applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria will be considered:

CSU will rank scholarship applicants by academic merit according to a specified criteria (see Scholarship Application Guide for further details.
Tuition Fees: AGRTP scholarship candidates are exempt from tuition fees for a period equivalent to six years (12 sessions) for PhD/Research Doctorate OR four years (eight sessions) for Research Masters at part time study.
Operating Funds: Scholarship candidates are allocated an allowance per session of enrolment to assist with the reimbursement of costs associated with the candidate's research.
AGRTP-PT scholarships are normally tenable for six years of part-time study for Research Doctorate studies, and four years of part-time study for Research Masters studies subject to satisfactory progress
An extension of up to six months may be granted for Research Doctorate candidates, where the candidate is making satisfactory progress and the grounds for the extension relate to the study and are beyond the control of the candidate.
Scholarship candidates are entitled to 20 annual leave working days per year and 10 sick leave days per year. If longer periods of absence are required, the Research Office must be contacted and a suspension of scholarship may be arranged.
