Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of University policies on Outside Professional Activities and Intellectual Property which includes acting as the University's Commercialisation Officer and conducting information sessions for staff, research students, schools and divisions;
- Critically review, negotiate and draft research-related contracts and agreements including Deeds of Assignment of Intellectual Property, Biological Transfer Agreements and Commercial-in-Confidence agreements;
- Negotiate and coordinate liaison regarding commercial aspects of research contracts between the University and industry, including state and commonwealth departments;
- Liaise with staff and students of the University on issues relating to research and external funding including Intellectual property, ownership of data, authorship and copyright.
