Students may consider applying for additional funding during their candidature to assist with the cost of research. These can be sourced through internal or external funding opportunities.
The University subscribes to a research funding data base called Research Professional that lists external funding opportunities. More information on Research Professional is available on our website.
Internal funding opportunities may also be available through the Faculties or the Research Office. These are generally advertised through What’s New and News or internal communication forums such as the Research Bulletin.
Applications for external funding must be approved by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Research, Development and Industry.
Applying for External Funding
Applications for external funding must be undertaken in conjunction with a student’s Principal Supervisor and they must be listed as the Lead Investigator on the application. The process is as follows:
A Notice to Submit (NTS) form must be submitted to the Research Office 10 working days prior to the external submission deadline
Signature must be received by all of the delegates listed on the form
A copy of the proposal submitted with your application including a budget must be provided
The completed form and supporting documents must be submitted to the Research Office.
