 Sheryl Turner

Sheryl works within the BECIS team in the role of Programs Manager.

She holds a Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood and a Diploma of Management.

Sheryl has a combined 21 years experience in Long day care and Pre -schools both as team leader and Director, along with 15 years teaching at CSU focusing on Early Childhood Intervention, Diversity and Language Learning.

She has undertaken professional development in DIR floor time, Hanen Trained Educator, Routine based interview, Key Worker, The Coach Approach, Child Protection training, Cultural Diversity, PECS, Teacher talk. NDIS Management.

In her role as service manager Sheryl is constantly updating relevant training and attending workshops and conferences to help keep BECIS at the forefront of Early Childhood Early Intervention practise. She works closely with other services and schools in our regional area and networks with community organisations. This ensures BECIS remains a prominent and important presence within the community promoting inclusion and accessibility for all children.

Sheryl's main areas of interest include advocacy for children to participate fully in their community, spending time out in the field working in childrens natural environments. Sheryl is committed to children families and inclusion.

Sheryl has 3 children and says painting and designing are her passion, loving nothing more than making a creative mess.
