Kathy works with the BECIS team in the role of Speech Pathologist, Key worker.
She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science ( Speech Pathology), a certificate in English Language teaching to adults and is a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia.
Kathy has had varied experience over the past 21 years working in many locations around Australia, and also in the UK. She works with families in the community, homes, long day care centres, pre-schools and at the BECIS service itself.
Kathy has undertaken professional development in specialised training in Hanen ( It takes two to talk and more than words) Key Word singing ( formerly Makaton), Paediatric Dysphagia Education Program, PECS training and the SOS Approach to feeding.
Her main area of interest is working with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Kathy is married and has one son, she loves dogs chocolate and watching Dr Phil.
