Therese works with the BECIS team in the role of Early Interventionist - Key Worker, working directly with children and families and in their homes, long day care centres, pre school and in the community.
She holds a Diploma of Teaching Early Childhood Education and has worked in a teaching and directing capacity in various long day care settings and pre-schools. Therese has also worked for the Department of Education as well as teaching various units of Child Studies studies at TAFE before joining the team in 2012.
Therese has undertaken professional development in Key Worker Training, attachment theory and practise, and Coach Approach.
Her main area of interest is in increasing the outcomes for Indigenous children, interest in soil quality and it's link to food quality and nutrition in child mental and physical health.
Therese and her husband Michael are kept busy running their ultra fine merino wool farm as well as raising their 5 children.
