Welcome to Charles Sturt University
and CSU Card!
CSU Card introduction
Commencing students will receive their CSU Card soon after accepting their offer of admission.
The CSU Card system has been supplied by Unicard Pty Ltd an all Australian company using Australian produced software and hardware. Unicard systems are currently used by 24 Australian universities.
CSU Cards contain a contact-less mifare microchip and an antenna that enables access to a number of services across CSU. Such services currently include:
- Identification on CSU campuses;
- Entrance to examinations;
- NSW Travel concession card (restrictions apply)
- Dining Hall meals for on-campus students;
- Access to buildings, including 24 hour computer labs;
- Borrowing materials from the library;
- Payment for photocopying
- Bus fares on University operated bus service (Wagga campus)
During 2009, additional services allowing cards to be used at campus shops & food outlets will become available.
Different cardholder categories and card types, mean that not all of the above services are available to all cardholders. The decision to authorise a particular service for a person lays with the provider of the service and the cardholder’s supervisor or sponsor.
