2012
January 2012

In January 2012 Professor Haire was appointed Professor of Theology at the University of Halmahera, Indonesia, in addition to his work in the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture. The Chancellor, Rev Dr Julianus Mojau, presents him with his Certificate of Appointment. The "James Haire Research Centre" was also named after him.
March 2012
On 8 March 2012 Professor Haire gave a lecture entitled "What is Happiness? The Christian understanding of Contentment and Community" at a meeting of Christians for an Ethical Society (CES). The President of CES, Bishop George Browning, chaired the meeting.

In March 2012 Professor Haire was a member of the Australian Delegation to the Sixth Regional Interfaith Dialogue in Semarang, Indonesia. He chaired one of the Plenary Sessions of the Dialogue.
