Ranunculus - ranunculus species - Matthew 6:28-30, Luke 12:27
Ranunculus are wild field flowers in Palestine and almost certainly were referred to by Jesus as the lilies of the field in His sermon on the mount, as they still grow wild there near the Lake of Galilee and generally throughout the land.
