Scholarships and Funding

Various sources of financial aid are available to students undertaking an overseas study experience. Please look at the categories below to find one that is appropriate for you.

Vice Chancellor Travel Grants
Amount:

Short Term Programs & Professional Experience: $500 Conference attendance may be eligible under special circumstances-

Please contact the CSU Global Manager. Student Exchange Program: $1500 (If you receive an Australian Government Scholarship ($5000) you will be ineligible for this grant)

Eligibility: Students undertaking a Short Term Program, Professional Experience and the Student Exchange Program are eligible.
Application: Return all documentation to the CSU Global Coordinator
Documentation Required:

1. Personal Emergency/Travel Grant Application Form 85KB [.DOC]

2. Certificate of Insurance - providing information on your coverage and the dates you are covered (from the day you leave Australia until the day you return).

Students should note that you will be required to take out CSU Travel Insurance. More information on this policy can be found on the CSU Travel website

These scholarships are provided by the Australian Government , Cheung Kong Group and the Australian University for Mobility in Asia and the Pacific.

Your Scholarship Responsibilities

Being involved in an international study program is an amazing and fulfilling opportunity. In return we ask that you share this experience with others and encourage your peers to explore these life changing opportunities also!

You are now an ambassador for the program!

What we ask of you:

  1. Upon return from your overseas experience we ask that you join the CSU Global Alumni.By registering with us we will be able to provide you with access to other international opportunities and also keep you in touch with fellow CSU Global Ambassadors. We would also strongly encourage you to become a member of AXAN: the Australian Exchange Alumni Network
  2. Compulsory Scholarship Responsibilities:

    - Two international study experiences assistance sessions as designated by the
    CSU Global Promotional Assistant
    -Create a 5 minute PowerPoint / pod cast or video of your international experience presentation for a lecture or tutorial group. Submit presentation to
    CSU Global Promotional Assistant
    - Email 5-10 of your best photos from your international study experience to the
    CSU Global Promotional Assistant

    You may also be called on for the following:

    - CSU Media interview
    - Submit an article about your experience to your campus newspaper.
    - Assist the International Student Club to organise and run one activity.

You are required to fulfill these Scholarship Responsibilities and your commitment will be discussed in your Pre - Departure Session.
