International Experience Program: Professional Experience, Vanuatu

This is a professional experience placement, aligned with  subject - EPT317 in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) degree.  A total of 12 students are selected - four from each campus (Albury, Dubbo and Bathurst).  Enquiries should be directed to the Professional Experience Coordinator on each campus in the first instance.

(It may be possible for students from the Bachelor of Education (K-12 Middle Schooling) degree to join this program to complete the 1 week diverse placements for EPT321. Please talk to your course coordinator for details.)

Program Dates: October 2012 (exact date to be confirmed)

Number:  12 students
NB. This program will require 8 students to proceed.

Program Cost: Approx. $1,780 (including $500 travel grant)*

*The $500 Travel Grant is not awarded directly to students but deducted from the program fee.

Cost Includes: Program fee; international flights; accommodation; insurance

Please note all CSU Global Programs are group ticketed.  Your program will depart from either Sydney International Airport or Melboure Tullamarine Airport and return to Sydney International Airport or Melbourne Tullarmarine Airports on the dates listed. 

Eligibility:  Third year Early Childhood/ Primary pre-service teachers enrolled in EPT317 (or  Bachelor of Education (K-12 Middle Schooling) students enrolled in EPT321)

Application Timeline

  • First round application close on 30 June
  • Successful students notified (email): 13 July
  • Second round application closing date: 23 July (only if positions are still available)
  • Successful students notified (email): August 2012 (exact date TBA)
  • (You MUST have obtained your passport prior to the payment date. Please note it may take 4-6 weeks to obtain a passport)
  • $100 non-refundable deposit due: 16 August
  • Final Payment date: 9 September 2012 
  • Pre-departure session: TBA
