CSU students will have an amazing opportunity participating in rotations between theclinical departments and research centres of LiaoCheng People's Hospital and Liaocheng Clinical School of Taishan Medical University, China. The areas that students will visit include: Cardiology (including coronary care unit, cardiac catheterization lab, electrocardiography and echocardiography); Respiratory Medicine; Surgical Theatres; and the Centre for Experimental Medicine. Students will also visit hospital wards and attend outpatient clinics accompanying Prof Lexin Wang on his morning rounds. Both observation and hands on experience is an integral part of this unique experience. A seminar presentation to the hospital staff and medical/dental students is expected at the end of this placement.

Cost: approx. $2500.00 (includes return airfare and connection to Jinan, accommodation, insurance, visa)
Eligibility: Bachelor of Clinical Science, Bachelor Medical Science (Clinical Physiology) students

Program Outline:
Rotations between departments visiting hospital pharmacy and community pharmacy in the city and rotate to centre for experimental medicine and rotate to dept of pathology, dept of clinical biochemistry, and dept cardiology. Scientific seminar with the hospital staff and CSU Students- CSU students potentially to present.
