Centre for Inland Health Research Higher Degree Scholarships 2010
The Centre for Inland Health (CIH) will be offering two full-time research higher degree scholarships in 2010. There is only one scholarship remaining in the second round. These scholarships are open to students intending to take up, or currently enrolled in, higher degree research related to inland health and principally supervised by a key researcher of the Centre for Inland Health.
These CIH research higher degree scholarships are known as Strategic Centre Scholarships. Except for the stipulations regarding area of research (which must be related to inland health) and principal supervisor (who must be a key researcher of the Centre for Inland Health), the conditions and benefits of the scholarships are those associated with any CSU-administered APA (for APA information, see: http://www.csu.edu.au/research/higher_degrees/scholarships).
Applications for the second round of CIH scholarships must be received by 20 December 2009, and will be assessed in a manner similar to the assessment process used by CSU for all CSU-administered APA. However, the extent to which the proposed research relates to inland health will be an additional assessment consideration.
Applicants are encouraged to apply for any other available scholarships for which they might be eligible (including CSU-administered APA’s), in addition to these CIH scholarships, in order to maximise their chances of securing a scholarship to support their proposed program of research.

A list of potential higher degree research supervisors from the Centre for Inland Health, and the research areas in which they would be happy to consider providing supervision can be found here. You should discuss your proposed research with one of these potential supervisors and ensure a supervisor is available for your proposed research, prior to submitting a scholarship application.
