The RAISS Conference is sponsored by the Reference and Information Service Section of the Australian Library and Information Association, and includes presented papers, panel discussions, a product exhibition and pre and post conference events. It provides an opportunity for librarians and information professionals from universities, technical and further education institutions, public libraries, government and special libraries to explore reference and service issues of the 99¹s and beyond.

This is a National Conference which is held every two years in a different city of Australia, and generally draws about 400 delegates. The Exhibition showcases the latest developments in print and electronic reference services and systems.

The 1999 Conference aims to explore the issues associated with the many collaborative partnerships which are emerging in efforts to cope with rising costs in a reduced funding environment and also to examine the effect on reference services of new paradigms associated with changes in teaching, learning and delivery of information services in the electronic environment.

Your participation at RAISS 99, entitles one person (for each 9 Sqm booked) from your company to the following benefits:

  1. Attendance at the Cocktail Reception.
  2. Provision of morning and afternoon coffee.
  3. Attendance at the Conference Dinner.

and in addition your company will be given a:

  1. Listing in the Conference brochure
  2. Free of charge listing in the Final Programme.
  3. Free of charge listing in the Exhibitors' Guide.
  4. Trade passes to invite your existing and potential clients to visit the exhibition.

Stands are available of various sizes and configuration (Please refer to the floor plan). Each Stand offers the following features:

Marketing:

The Conference and Exhibition will be marketed to the widest audience possible (estimated 9000), advertised in the trade magazines, and in the general media.

Complimentary Exhibition passes will be distributed by the exhibitors, mailed directly to potential visitors and offered in the general media.


Conditions:

Please complete the enclosed application form and return it to the Organisers together with 50% of the amount for the Stand/Area or Sponsorship category/item of your choice.

For withdrawals and or cancellations received in writing prior to or on the following dates, cancellation fees will be as follows: 30th June 1999 50% of total value of item committed for. After 30th June 1999 100% of total value of item committed for.

Move in and set up will take place on 5th September1999.

Dismantling and move out will take place at the conclusion of the afternoon coffee service on 8th September 1999.
