Finished Product? - a Collaborative Venture.

In a new venture at Massey University, Liaison Librarians have recently taken part in the planning and delivery of a writing-for-publication workshop for academic women in the College of Business. The librarians' involvement was crucial in ensuring that workshop participants met the goal of a completed journal article.

The delivery of this value-added service has engaged academic women in the full range of reference services including choosing journals in which to publish, how to cite electronic resources, assigning keywords and developing abstracts with the end-user in mind.

The librarians have established a collaborative research relationship and developed a closer understanding of customers' needs and research interests.
