CANTILENA SINGERS

The Cantilena Singers, who celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2002, is a choir for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass (SATB) voices. It was formed in 1977 as the Wagga Civic Choir, under the directorship of Adrian Wintle and adopted its present name when Max Reeder became its longest serving director. There are still a few members of the original choir amongst the membership, which attests to its enduring nature. A highlight for the choir was at an Opera Gala in 1998 in Nordlingen, Germany, celebrating their 1100th anniversary, together with other sister city choirs and the Nuremburg Symphony Orchestra.
