Catherine Kinsella - Flute

Master of Music, Bachelor of Music

 

Catherine Kinsella has a Master of Music degree in Performance from the University of Melbourne where she studied with Mardi McSullea. Catherine has performed with many orchestras including the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic, Melbourne Opera, Melbourne University Symphony and Darwin Symphony Orchestra. She has also played in supporting ensembles for James Morrison, Wendy Matthews and James Blundell.

In 2007 Catherine was invited to perform in concert with Italian guitarist Nuccio D'Angelo at the Darwin International Guitar Festival. She has also given live solo and chamber music performances for 3MBS and ABC radio.

Prior to her time in Melbourne, Catherine studied with Polish flautist Janusz Kwasny at Charles Darwin University where she completed a Bachelor of Music with first Class honors and received the Chancellor's medal.

Catherine moved to Wagga Wagga in July 2007 to take up the position of full-time flute teacher at the Riverina Conservatorium of Music.
