The Clinical Training Centre at Charles Sturt University
To ensure a continued high standard of education for veterinary students at CSU, the University is constructing a purpose-built facility for the training of undergraduates with small and large animals.
The Centre, costing approximately $8 million, will give students the experience needed to work competently in a rural or metropolitan veterinary practice after graduation.
The facility includes:
- Small and Large Animal Theatre Suites
- Scintigraphy Ward
- Large and Small Animal Computed Tomography
- Ultrasound and X-Ray facilities
- Reproduction Services building including a large animal teaching space
- Large Animal Hospital
- Pharmacy
- Offices and Tutorial Space
The Clinical Training Centre will be used for teaching the University's fourth, fifth and sixth year veterinary science students in clinical skills such as surgery, anaesthesia, medicine and diagnostic imaging.
Help us make a difference
CSU has an excellent basic infrastructure for training future veterinarians; however there is still a need for specialised facilities such as the Clinical Training Centre which will provide the crucial 'hands on' experience.
To assist the University in financing the Clinical Training Centre, the Charles Sturt Veterinary Science Foundation has launched its first ever capital campaign and is seeking the support of the community to help make this construction a facility of international standard.
You can help us reach our Capital Appeal Target of $750,000 by making a tax deductible donation today. Every donor will receive regular updates on our progress and be invited to participate in key events at the Clinic.
The University has agreed to match dollar for dollar any donation made to the appeal, meaning your contribution will go twice as far in helping this facility become a reality.
If you would like to discuss additional ways that you can support the Clinical Training Centre at CSU please contact the Foundation.
