Senior Women’s Forum (SWF)
The Charles Sturt University Senior Women’s Forum was launched in August 2006 by the then Federal Minister for Education, Science and Training, the Hon Julie Bishop. Members may be academic staff or general staff of CSU, and membership of the Forum is open to all women at the University who are at HEW level 10 or above, or Associate Professor level or above.
Why this website?
The purpose of this site is to promulgate information to all CSU colleagues, as well as to facilitate support and provide a resource for women within Charles Sturt University. The site provides a place for sharing information amongst the members.
Roles of the Senior Women’s Forum
- to promote cultural change in the University by providing input into strategic planning and policy directions and critical decision making bodies within the University
- to provide support for women to take on senior leadership roles within the University
- to support networking / the strengthening of links and the circulation of information amongst senior women within the University
- to provide a forum for meeting with senior women at other universities and in other sectors/linking with networks beyond the University
- to support the leadership, professional development and advancement of women generally within the University and
- to support mentoring programs so as to significantly contribute to the career development of University women.
