Vice-Chancellor and President (VC)
President and Chief Executive Officer of the University accountable to University Council

Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (DVC Academic)
Responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the activities of the Faculties and the learning support divisions of the University: the Division of Library Services; the Centre for Enhancing Learning and Teaching (CELT); Learning Materials Centre; the Academic Secretariat; is a member of the Senior Executive Committee of the University

Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (DVC Administration)
Responsible for the delivery of an integrated and efficient University administration and assists the Vice-Chancellor generally in the administration, management and leadership of the University; is a member of the Senior Executive Committee of the University. This includes the divisions of Information Technology, Facilities Management, Student Administration, Student Services, Marketing and the Offices of International Relations and Service Alignment.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research, Development & Industry)
Responsible for the administration of research and research training; is a member of the Senior Executive Committee of the University; is Executive Officer of the Research Office.

Heads of Campus Provost (HoC)
Responsible for representing and promoting a particular campus as well as university wide accountabilities

Dean of Students
The Office of the Dean of Students supports the academic success of all CSU students, ensuring in particular that students of this University engage productively with CSU and enjoy an excellent student experience.
The Dean of Students works with the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and the Deans of Faculties to strengthen the strategic leadership of three broad areas of academic activity: course quality and curriculum renewal, student academic support and participation and access and pathway initiatives.

Heads of School (HoS)
Responsible for the academic leadership and administrative management of Schools, maintaining and enhancing learning and teaching, research and consulting services of the School

Human Resources (HR)
The Division of Human Resources has a key strategic role in building institutional strength reputation and sustainability at Charles Sturt University. The Executive Director Human Resources reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor and is a member of the University's Senior Executive Committee.

The Division facilitates and supports the attainment of the University's strategic objectives through working in partnership with faculties and divisions to attract, retain and develop the staff required to meet business needs and by progressing leadership development culture and change management within the University.

There are three Directorates which deliver a comprehensive and integrated range of HR services:

  1. Workplace Relations and Policy;
  2. Organisational and People Capability; and
  3. HR Partnerships

Responsible for leading the University in making strategic resource management decisions through the provision of professional financial services and leadership and the effective and sustainable operation of University enterprises.

Information Technology (DIT)
Responsible for providing CSU's computing, communications, audio visual and printing services across all CSU locations and responsible for providing project tools, framework and resources to support strategic initiatives across the University.

Facilities Management (DFM)
Responsible for campus and facilities planning; construction of new buildings; building maintenance and refurbishment; grounds development and maintenance; security; cleaning and janitorial services; administration of sports facilities.

Student Learning (DSL)
Responsible for strategically enhancing learning and teaching at CSU by providing enabling leadership and support to the academic community, including the design, production and timely dispatch of learning resources for students of CSU, provision of learning and teaching systems and professional development in teaching for academic staff

Library Services (DLS)
Responsible for providing a full range of university library services to students, staff and the community

Student Administration (DSA)
Responsible for providing student lifecycle administration services across all campuses

Marketing and Communication (M)
Responsible for the media and marketing strategy that will raise and maintain both the national and international profile of CSU. Incorporates market research, development and communications, advertising, printery and consultancy and media services

Offices and Centres

Office of the Vice-Chancellor (OVC)
Responsible for providing administrative, policy and communications support to the Vice-Chancellor

Office of Corporate Affairs (OCA)
Responsible for coordinating and managing relations between the University and it’s external stakeholders providing strategic support to the Vice-Chancellor as well as managing support for University Council

Office of Planning and Audit (P&A)
Responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of University data for internal and external parties. Additionally, the office is responsible for internal audit and complaints, privacy and freedom of information (FOI) management

Research Office (RO)
The Research Office subsumes the activities previously undertaken by the Centre for Research and Graduate Training (CRGT) and will progressively introduce additional support services for the research community. The Research Office will be the hub for advice, information and support for the administration and management of research and research higher degrees at CSU.

Centre for Indigenous Studies (CIS)
Responsible for the promotion of teaching and learning of Indigenous education at CSU and is a collaboration of faculty staff and the Executive and has dual reporting to the Faculty of Education and the CRGT

Centre for Information Studies (CiS)
A University enterprise which aims to support and commission research, publication and continuing professional development in library and information science. The main areas in which it publishes are library and information science, teacher librarianship and Australian literature for young people. The Centre’s publications are international in terms of scope and market, with focus on the professional environment. Proposals for publications, whether from first-time or experienced authors, are welcomed.

Student Central
Student Central provides a single point of contact for all questions about university life (except those related to lectures or study materials).
Student Central offers a range of communication channels such as phone, email, web, chat or talk to us in person at one of our Learning Commons.

Office of Academic Governance
Responsible for coordinating the academic organisation of the University; provides executive secretariat and administrative services to senior academic committees including Academic Senate

Student Services (OSS) including Indigenous Support Units (ISUs)
Responsible for the provision of quality health, learning, personal development and support services to students

International Education and Partnerships (IEP)
Oversees the University's trans-national education programs, CSU Global and Australian based partnerships that focus on recruitment of international students and CSU Ontario
