The New 2010 Academic Calendar

Charles Sturt University is introducing a new academic calendar (schedule of study sessions) from 2010.

The calendar provides three sessions of study and is designed to help students manage the pace of study in their selected course.  In some cases it will allow students to fast track their studies.

Session one commences on 1 March, 2010; Session two commences on 12 July, 2010; Session 3 on 15 November, 2010.

Nearly all on campus courses require study in sessions one and two only.  Session three may be used by on campus students to spread their study load or accelerate their progress by taking subjects by distance education (where the subjects are available).  Some on campus courses also provide opportunities for practicum or clinical placements in session three.

Distance education courses may be completed with two sessions of study each year but there will be opportunities for students to spread their study load across three sessions.

CSU is taking a phased approach in implementing the new Academic Calendar. During this process, new information will be added to this site.
