University Orientation is an experience not to be missed. This year over 13,000 students are commencing studies at CSU.
Take care of business - take a campus tour, get your student ID card, attend information sessions on our course and accommodation options, and tour the library facilities.
Have some fun - check out the social calendar. Each Campus has plannned a unique mix of activities designed to give you the chance to meet other students, from trivia nights to pool and beach parties, BBQ breakfasts to band nights, even an 80s op shop ball!

Meet our first-year O-Week bloggers...

We have asked a select number of students to share their orientation experience with us. Follow along as these commencing students begin a new chapter of their lives at CSU.

  • Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetics)
  • Hi, my name is Lauren Crocker and I am a first-year Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetics) student. I am from Benalla, Victoria and I really enjoyed studying nutrition at school, and am interested in the field as a career. I want to study in a regional area so CSU provided the perfect opportunity as I also wish to work in the country after I have graduated. I went to Wagga Wagga Campus for an open day every day tour which was fantastic. There are so many new things to look forward to!  I'm really excited about meeting new friends and settling into Uni life. I'm hoping to take up as much sport as possible. • Dubbo Campus

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary)
  • Hi, my name is Isaac Kinscher and I am a first-year student studying at the CSU Dubbo Campus. I was very happy when I received notification of my early entry into the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary). I have lived in Dubbo my entire life. I chose to study at CSU because I know many previous CSU graduates who thoroughly enjoyed their time there. Another plus to studying at the Dubbo campus is that I can keep my part-time job and continue living at home, which will help me save a few dollars. Being a socialite, I look forward to making new friends. Having looked at the O Week program I am looking forward to better acquainting myself with the campus and the people there.Read my blog and hear more about my orientation experience

  • Hi! My name is Ellie McDonald, and I am starting my first year studying at Charles Sturt University. I was so excited when I received my offer to study the Bachelor of Sport Studies/Bachelor of Arts (Communication - Journalism) at the Bathurst Campus. I finished year 12 in 2007 and took a year off just to make up my mind about which course I wanted to do. I chose CSU because the courses they have were the best options for me. I grew up just north of Sydney in Arcadia, so I will be living on campus. I know nobody up here in Bathurst, so the thing I am most excited about is making new friends! Go on... check out my blog !
