Studying with CSU at the NSW Police Force College
Classes
The teaching facilities at the NSW Police Force College allow for a range of practical training and scenario work.
There are standard lecture theatres similar to those you would find on a mainstream university campus, as well as smaller rooms for tutorial work where students are briefed on a range of issues and given, for example, detailed instruction on law and ethical issues with plenty of opportunity for open discussion and debate.
A police station complete with lock-up means students get a feel for their future profession and allows instruction in how to deal with offenders whilst maintaining the safety of yourself, your colleagues and members of the public.
Training the police recruits about safety is of paramount importance, with many hands-on classes in weaponless defence with close instruction from experienced police officers.
Weapons training continues during Session 2, when students attend the firing range for target practice and instruction on the safe use of a firearm.
