CSU Excellence Scholarship

2013 Applications will OPEN 1 October 2012.
Charles Sturt University (CSU) Excellence Scholarships are awarded to students based on a combination of academic merit, which is an ATAR score of 95.00 and above, inclusive of the Regional Bonus and evidence of demonstrated leadership and citizenship within the community.
The Scholarship is a cash scholarship of $5,000 per annum for students studying in an undergraduate course for a maximum of 5 years, provided the scholarship recipient continues to meet the scholarship ongoing eligibility.
There are 12 CSU Excellence Scholarships available; allocated evenly and according to demand across all Faculties at CSU : Arts, Business, Education and Science.
How to Apply for a CSU Excellence Scholarship in 2013
To receive a CSU Excellence Scholarship you need to complete the online Application form and meet the eligibility criteria. If more eligible applicants are received than scholarships available, applicants will be ranked on a combination of their ATAR and standard of demonstrated leadership and citizenship within the community.

LATE APPLICATIONS will be accepted if quota available in 2013. Please contact the Scholarship Officer to discuss a late application if you feel you have extenuating circumstances.
Who is eligible to receive a CSU Excellence Scholarship?
To be eligible for a CSU Excellence Scholarship you must:
- be a first year commencing student in your first session of study at CSU; and
- be enrolled as a full-time student; and
- be enrolled as an internal (on campus) student in the majority of units of study that form part of the course of study you are undertaking; and
- be studying their first degree; and
- not be in receipt of any other scholarships worth more than $7,131; and
- have an ATAR of 95.00 (inclusive of the Regional Bonus Points) or above, or the equivalent; and.
- it is compulsory to provide a summary statement of evidence of demonstrated leadership and community involvement, together with support statements from community members, teachers, etc.
- Please Note: applicants that demonstrate high level leadership skills and community involvement receive a higher assessment ranking.
