CSU Honours Scholarship & CSU Honours SCF (HECS) Exempt Award
The Scholarship and Award is available to both New and Continuing Honours Students at CSU. Information on the different areas of the Scholarship and Award can be found on the links below.
From 2012 Honours students who are awarded the Scholarship will automatically receive the Honours SCF Exempt Award. Eligible students who do not receive the Scholarship due to quota restrictions may still be able to be awarded the Honours SCF (HECS) Exempt Award.

CSU Honours Scholarship
In 2012 CSU has available 70 merit-based CSU Honours Scholarships available to Honours students who are enrolled by on campus or distance education mode.
The Scholarship is available to fulltime and part-time honours students.
- From 2012 Full-time students (enrolled in 24 subject points or more per session) in 2012 will receive $4,000 for the year of their Honours course, paid in 2 equal instalments in Session 1 and 2.
- From 2012 Part-time students (enrolled in less than 24 subject points per session) in 2012 will receive $2,000 each year of their 2 year Honours course, paid in 2 equal instalments in Session 1 and 2).
- From 2012, students enrolled in an Integrated Honours Course as a fulltime student will receive a total of $4,000 paid in 4 equal instalments over the 2 year enrolment period of their integrated Honours course.
- From 2012 Part-time Integrated Honours students will be paid the $4,000 in equal payments over the 4 year period of their Honours course.
Honours Student Contribution Fee ((SCF)/HECS) Exempt Award
The University offers Student Contribution Fee ((SCF)/HECS) exempt places for Honours students. An SCF (HECS) Exempt Award is a exemption from paying HECS fees and is designed to allow high performing students to continue their studies without incurring a further financial burden. The CSU Honours SCF (HECS) Exempt Award is awarded for the duration of your Honours course.
From 2012, students awarded the CSU Honours Scholarship will automatically be awarded the CSU Honours SCF (HECS) Exempt Award.
Please refer to the guidelines for further information on additional CSU Honours SCF Exempt awards from Faculty's and School's of CSU. Applicants not awarded a scholarship because of quota restrictions may still be awarded the CSU Honours Exempt Award if their Faculty provides additional SCF Exempt places. Contact the Scholarship Office to find out if additional CSU Honours SCF Exempt Awards are available.
How to Apply for a CSU Honours Scholarship and CSU Honours SCF (HECS) Exempt Award
To apply for the CSU Honours Scholarship and CSU Honours SCF Exempt Award, please complete the online applicaton form by following the link below:
- CSU Honours Scholarship-and-SCF-Exempt-Award-Application-Form-2012 (Applications for 1st Session 2012 have now closed. The online application form will be re-activated for mid-year 2012 applications on the 1 June 2012)
- PLEASE NOTE: There will be limited quota available for mid-year 2012.
- You only need to complete one form for both the scholarship and award; and
- once you have completed the form, please send the required supporting documentation to the Scholarship Office as per the instructions.
Late applications will be accepted under special circumstances, i.e. late Honours course offer, personal circumstances, etc.
