Ski Trip 2008

55 Intrepid St Martins and St Francis college students headed for Falls creek on the weekend of 25-27th July. We had a marvellous weekend of snow and skiing and no major accidents!!! The food and accommodation at Mt Beauty Holiday Village was awesome.  Start saving now for next year.

Wildlife at St Martin's

Wildlife abounds at St Martin's and this is not a reference to college BBQs and parties! The grounds of the college (and the university campus in general) are home to an amazing variety of animals. We keep a bird list for the college and we need students to help keep the list up to date. There is a procedure for dealing with snakes that all students should read. Copies of the the snake procedure are also posted in each cottage.

Weather at St Martin's

The college has lots of interesting weather from winter frosts to blistering 40 degree days in summer. From October thunderstorms are common and often severe so students should make sure their computers are unplugged during storms. In recent years that has not been much rain. We have a rain gauge to keep track of what little there has been!
