Transition to Tertiary Study - SSS001

Description

This subject will provide an opportunity for students to develop knowledge and abilities in a range of academic skills that are required for success in tertiary study. The focus will be on practical skills that can be developed to assist you to prepare for a successful start to your university course.

Topics covered include: effective time management; efficient reading and note-taking strategies; writing academically; and preparing for and performing well in exams.

Please note: The last offering of this subject will be Trimester 3A 2009 (session 201003). This subject will be replaced by Transition to University Study (SSS021) in 2010.
